Strength in Our Weakness
Mittwoch 23 September 2026 12:04 God is still saving people in Europe — and He delights to work through ordinary people. ECMI worker Matej experienced this when a casual conversation opened the door for a woman to surrender her life to Jesus. His story reminds us that we do not need to be strong or perfectly equipped to serve God. We simply need to trust Him and say yes.

"God has shown me that ministry is not built on self-confidence. Many times I have felt unsure, unprepared, or hesitant. Yet God has used those moments to teach me obedience and remind me of His faithfulness.
A meaningful example was the moment V. gave her life to Christ and received Him as her Saviour. I had the privilege of being part of her story, and what began as a casual conversation slowly became deeply personal.
As we talked, the conversation turned to her struggle to trust God. She had heard the Gospel before and believed in God’s existence, but trusting Him personally and surrendering her life to Him was much harder.I sensed that I needed to go deeper in our conversationand speak with her about the reasons behind that lack of trust. In that moment, my own experiences of learning to trust God helped me speak more personally. At the same time, I could sense that the Holy Spirit was present and guiding us through the conversation. By the end of our conversation, despite my own sense of inadequacy in leading someone to Christ, V. received Him as her Saviour.
V. now regularly attends our student group and our church, where we are seeking to support her continued growth in the Lord. Her story humbled me deeply. It reminded me that God does not need perfect instruments. He asks for willing and obedient hearts. He is the One who saves, speaks, and draws people to Himself — and in His grace, He uses us as His instruments."
There Is Still Much to Do
The need for the Gospel in Europe is vast. And the opportunities to serve are everywhere.
God is not waiting for superheroes. He is not looking for people who have everything figured out, who never feel weak or uncertain, or who always know what to say. He is calling His children to trust Him and step into the opportunities He places before them.
There are people across Europe waiting to hear the Gospel. Some need a conversation. Some need a helping hand. Some simply need someone willing to speak to them about Jesus.
What might God do through your willingness?
Will you go? Will you pray? Will you give? Will you trust Him to do far more than we could do in our own strength — and use even our small acts of faith for His glory?
