A remarkable dynamic of leadership at ECMI is that we are often impacted by those we seek to encourage. My colleagues and I are inspired by the resilient faith of our workers, some of whom have experienced significant setbacks but continue pressing forward in the power of Christ's Spirit.

In Spain, a vibrant student ministry is led by a career missionary who experienced the unimaginable loss of his beloved wife two years ago. Though his grief remains real, his faith remains vibrant. God has used his steadfast trust and infectious hope to build the next generation of disciples in that city. Through profound personal loss, he continues to point others to Christ.

In Croatia, our church planters launched New Hope Church in 2023 with great anticipation. They could never have imagined the opposition they would encounter from local religious authorities, who repeatedly prevented them from renting space for their growing congregation. Yet they refused to be discouraged. When doors closed, they gathered outdoors in parks whenever weather permitted, believing firmly that this is Jesus' church and that He will provide in His perfect timing.

Many others across Europe have faced slander, serious health challenges, and seasons of deep loss this year. While they grieve these hardships honestly, they also lean on Jesus for strength, wisdom, and direction. They trust Him to show them the way forward—and then they walk that path with Him. As I observe their perseverance, my own faith is strengthened.

An unshakable faith is truly a gift from the Holy Spirit. He helps us see God for who He is—our refuge, our strength, and our security in every circumstance.

"The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."

You are also part of this story. Through your faithful support, you demonstrate Jesus' care and concern for our missionary staff throughout Europe. Your generosity enables them to continue serving, even in difficult circumstances, and reminds them that they are not alone.
