As an ECM worker you are likely to be living in a place without any Christians or with only a few. Through work, art, culture, child’s work, sports or other gifts and talents, you will try to make contact with local people to share the gospel and to help young believers to be disciples of Jesus. You work in an international team together with the local church which will sometimes not be bigger than a small group. Where churches are more developed it is important that (potential) leaders are helped to mature and so you will be helping churches to grow in their structures too.

The stage of the church dictates the kind of work – or services – that are appropriate. Thus you are welcome as a preacher as well as a child worker, evangelist, pioneer worker, teacher of English, musician, etc.
We want you to be well prepared and go on your journey well prepared. That’s why it is important for us  that you are convinced of your calling, your spiritual life is stable, that you are a well developed person, your preparatory training is relevant and that you are supported through your home-church and a network of friends that you have developed.

There is plenty still to do in Europe and plenty of room for you to join us. So don’t hesitate to contact us, even if you can’t see a vacancy available immediately.  Even if you are not quite sure yet what you want to do or where you want to go, it might be a good idea to discuss your thoughts with us. We want to help you very much.
