A New Beginning in Frankfurt
Wednesday 21 January 2026 14:12 In one of Germany’s largest cities, a new church-plant is emerging through prayer, presence, and trust in God’s leading—bringing hope to the Oberrad community.
In the heart of Frankfurt, where a rich Christian heritage now meets a deeply post-Christian culture, a new story of hope is beginning.
In November, Bodo and Moon-Sook Park stepped into a fresh season of church planting in the Oberrad district—responding to God’s call to help form a worshipping community where few currently follow Jesus. With years of experience in church planting and a deep connection to the city, they begin this work with both faith and familiarity.
Frankfurt is one of Germany’s largest cities, yet only a small percentage of people identify as evangelical believers. Oberrad, a riverside neighbourhood of around 13,500 residents, reflects this wider reality. It is a place full of life, history, and opportunity—and a place where the gospel is still waiting to be heard by many.
Together with a small team, Bodo and Moon-Sook are devoting these early months to prayer, listening, and building genuine relationships in the community. Rather than starting with programmes, they are seeking to be present—to notice where God is already at work and to join Him there.
Please pray for the Park family and their team as they walk alongside the people of Oberrad. May God bring new life, lasting relationships, and a growing community of faith—and may His Church take root in Oberrad and beyond.
